( Update: The house has been SOLD to a local family.) The house has about 3,800 square feet. The lot size is close to an acre. The house has five bedrooms and five new baths, all redone. There are 2 five-ton heat/cool units: one for the downstairs and one for the upstairs. The antiques are being sold also. There is also a three car garage. There is also a cook house/servant's quarters behind the house. The house is at the end of Main Street across from the Methodist Church. The house has pocket doors . The central hall has the ladies parlor on the right and the men's smoking room on the left. The men's parlor has a liquor/tobacco closet. The front windows are jib doors. The city has two colleges which pre-date the Civil War. The full tester bed is ten feet tall, so you can judge the height of the ceilings. You can see the court house square from the front porch of the house. |
