Rare Snow in Alabama

It is snowing right now in Central Alabama. Interstate 65 is closed in our county. Everything closing or is closed. It will be coming down all day.  I last saw something like this in 1993.  Again, I can handle SNOW for about 2 days every 10 years. That's about it.

View from my library window.  It is 1/2 foot so far and will come down according to Birmingham TV  for six more hours.

View from the front porch. The entire front field is under 8 inches so the camera sees only white.

View from the end of the front porch.

View from my bedroom window showing the roof of the house addition.

View of the back yard.  The temp will not get over 34 and will go back to the 20's tonight so ice will cover the roads. That's when the 100's of accidents on the road begin as people here can't deal with it and think they can drive on ice.
